Users Summary Page

The Users Summary page lists users of the Issue Tracking System (ITS) which match specified searching and filtering conditions. It allows you for example to browse all users, find users with certain first or last name, or find for example just product managers, administrators or product testers.

The Users Summary page has two major sections. In the top section you can specify the searching and filtering conditions. The bottom section is displaying list of users matching entered searching and filtering conditions.

How to navigate to the Users Summary Page

Users Summary page might be not available for all users. The right to see other users information, such us e-mail address, is given by Issue Tracking System administrators Access to this information might be granted to development team members only.

If you have the right to see other users information, then the best way to navigate to Users Summary page is through link located on horizontal menu on top section of the the Issues Summary page. New Issue, Issue Details or Update pages have link to the Users Summary page too.

Filtering Conditions section

Current version on the Issue Tracking System allows you to specify, none, one, or more searching and filtering conditions from following list :

  • user's first, orlast name, ore-mail address orlogin ID
  • team of specified product development manager
  • product user groups , such as managers, developers, testers, support, product end-users, administrators
  • users with right to manage users have additional option to list all users, not only users of current product / product category. All other uses can view list of users for current product / product category only.

Operator connecting the values entered in the filtering conditions section is AND, except values specified in the users group part. For example, if you enter 'Bruce' in the User Id/e-mail/first/last name field, 'Smith, John' into the Team of field, and select product support and product testers checkboxes only, then the Issue Tracking System will display all product support and testers  from the John Smith's team whose first, last name, e-mail address or login ID is 'Bruce'. If you specify just the user groups, then Issue Tracking System will display users from selected groups.

Remember, you have to click on the button in order to display list of user matching the filtering conditions you just entered.

After you apply your filtering conditions and Issues Tracking System displays list of matching users, the Filtering Conditions section of the Issues Summary page may not be needed anymore.
